IOR is happy to announce that in late November it opened its latest diesel stop in Bowen, Queensland.
The 24/7 unmanned diesel stop is located at 13 Jurgens Place, within close proximity to the Bruce Highway. Bowen has long been recognised as a transport hub with networks linking the coal mining regions to Port facilities and the agricultural producers to road infrastructure to supply Southern regions. The new diesel stop connects IOR’s existing sites in North Queensland with those located in the south and west of the state.
Providing drivers with both diesel and AdBlue© available on-bowser and amenities for driver wellbeing, the new site is just moments from the highway. It has been built with the driver in mind with a drive-through design.
IOR seeks to support the local communities in which it operates with a ‘Buy Local’ policy. After a tender process, Lowcock Builders were engaged to carry-out the project over a seven-week period. Lowcock Builders has been operating in Bowen, servicing the surrounding areas, for over 100 years employing ten builders and two apprentices.
